During my Public Service Campaigns class I was paired with a nonprofit organization located near Old Dominion. The organization that I was paired with was the Newport News Green Foundation. They help produce and maintain green spaces throughout the City of Newport News. They also provide grants to neighborhoods to help make their entrance-ways more appealing. I have attended board meetings and have been able to help organize and attend sponsored events.
